Extension Of The TAC/Worksafe Pilot Programme

The TAC/Worksafe occupational physiotherapy program has again been extended. At Rosebud Physiotherapy Clinic, Andrew Blyth, Emma Brown, Lisa Farrelly and Andrew Fischer are participating in the pilot programme for the management of TAC and Worksafe patients.

The basis of the pilot is to provide early access to physiotherapy. For patients who have an accepted TAC claim (have contacted TAC and obtained a TAC number), the $584 medical excess will be waived if reviewed by an occupational physiotherapist. There are no out-of-pocket costs for these services.

The aim of the occupational physiotherapy programme is early management and to assist TAC and Worksafe injured patients to return to or remain at work. The physiotherapist is expected to contact the patient’s employer and assist with the return to work process. Worksite assessments can also be completed.
